In a joint publication between the groups of Peter Wasserscheid (CRT) and Matthias Thommes (TVT), we were able to showcase the performance of supported catalytically active liquid metal solutions (SCALMS) for isobutane dehydrogenation. The focus of the work, published in the high-ranked Chemical Engineering Journal (Elsevier), was more on understanding and pinpointing differences in the preparation of these promising catalyst materials. The work was funded by the European Research Council (Project 786475: Engineering of Supported Catalytically Active Liquid Metal Solutions) and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) in the frame of the SFB 1452 (Project-ID 431791331).
