Resume

Asem completed his bachelor’s in chemical engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia in 2018 with a focus in process optimization. His bachelor’s thesis was on the photocatalytic industrial wastewater treatment using RGO-TiO2/BiVO4 photocatalyst. He then joined Friedrich-Alexander-Universität, Germany for his Master’s in advanced processes and materials. He finished his master’s in 2021 with his master’s thesis on heptane dehydrogenation using supported catalytically active liquid metal solutions (SCALMS). On the same year, Asem joined Dr. Haumann’s group to work with the MACBETH project with a focus on hydroformylation using supported liquid phase (SLP) and supported ionic liquid phase catalyst (SILP) catalysts.
