Award for Thesis on LOHC Dehydrogenation

Tamara Hein, a graduate of our Chair of Chemical Reaction Engineering (CRT), was awarded the 2025 High-Tech Graduate Prize for her master’s thesis. The prize was awarded for the first time by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts in collaboration with the Bavarian Academy of Sciences (BAdW).

In her master’s thesis, supervised by Dipl.-Ing. Phillip Nathrath, Dr. Patrick Schühle, and Prof. Peter Wasserscheid, she investigated the continuous dehydrogenation of LOHC (Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers) in a novel heat transfer plate reactor. The goal is to achieve flexible and stable hydrogen release through this compact reactor concept and to make energy supply more efficient.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations on this award and wish her continued success!
