Resume

Umair Sultan received his B.Sc. in Materials Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute for Engineering Sciences and Technology, Topi, Pakistan in 2015. He worked as a research assistant at ZAE Bayern from 2016 to 2017 and as a junior employee at Sivantos GmbH from 2018 to 2020. In 2019, he received his M.Sc. in Advanced Materials and Processes from Friedrich-Alexander-University (FAU), Erlangen-Nuremberg, with a master thesis on ‘Drying kinetics of spherical colloidal crystals (Photonic Balls)’. From 2019 to 2020, he worked for the Institute of Surface Science and Corrosion at FAU, Erlangen as a scientific researcher on the topic ‘Development of photoelectrodes and charge transport materials for dye-sensitized and perovskite solar cells’. Since 2020, he is working in Dr. Alexandra Inayat’s group at Institute of Chemical Reaction Engineering (CRT) and Prof. Vogel’s group at Institute of Particle Technology (LFG), FAU Erlangen. His current research focuses on the scalable (and green) production of hierarchical porous materials for diverse applications.
